And the heartiest of new yer greetings to you too.
Thank you for all the great postings of 2011 and I hope that we are treated to the same interesting insights and photos in 2012.
Following your Avalanche posting, I have now finally got my hands on a copy of Snow Country Tales and am throughly enjoying it.
Happy New Year Captain.
あけましておめでとうございます。
今年もよろしくお願いします。
Thanks for the enormous amount of work you put into your postings. They are fascinating to read and I often wonder whether you have a large archive at home, or whether you track down the historical information & photos online.
Iain: good to hear you've got your hands on Snow Country. Might have to return to that book soon - by the way, the Naeba chapter is quoted in the Naeba chapter of Hyakumeizan ....
Hanameizan: all of the above - have a look at the References. It's all about standing on the shoulders of others.... Alas, the archive at home is not so large, though.
明けましておめでとうございます~!
May 2012 finally be the year that your wonderful writing finally sees itself in printed form.
Keep the informative posts coming.
