So the two (new?) titles you mention are new to me. Most interesting. And it's good to hear that Kitabatake is getting some recognition too - she deserves it, having helped to launch Fukada's literary career....Project Hyakumeizanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04260637418886330553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7618037172759094056.post-78090696773138231762011-05-05T04:53:46.746+02:002011-05-05T04:53:46.746+02:00As for Fukada Kyuya, I hadn't known much about...As for Fukada Kyuya, I hadn't known much about him until I read a series of your posts about him. For me, he was just a famous author of One Hundred Mountains and some other books. This post inspired me to read more about his life, especially about his family life. I found two interesting books in the library nearby: One is "日本百名山の背景,深田久弥・二つの愛”by Ataka Natsuo and the other is ”北畠八穂の物語". I didn't know that he was a so-called ”火宅の人". What I was impressed with the most is the life of his first wife and the very good short novels written by her for juveniles. I think she was really amazing! Thanks so much for this nice post. I'm afraid my comment strayed from the subject of it....☆sapphirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13444996989089740303noreply@blogger.com
