Thanks for posting it. <br /><br />I think it very interesting that during the Kamakura period, the age of "Mappou: 末法", a drastic change took place in the field of religion; Buddhism finally became the religion of ordinary people and powerful Buddhist leaders such as Honen, Shinran, Myoe, Eisai, Dogen, Nichiren, and some others appeared. This post helps me a lot to understand the background of the dynamic Buddhist movements in the Kamakura period and the cosmology the ancient people living in the age of Mappou had. <br /><br />Some Japanese New Agers use the term "Miroku no Yo: 弥勒の世” and they are looking forward to its advent very much.
